What is the best way to "Power-Level"?
There is a lot of time spent into figuring this out but we've been able to gather some tips and tricks on how to improve your leveling speed in Pokemon Go.

Here are a list of tips and tricks to power level in Pokemon Go:

-
SAVE YOUR PIDGY'S, CATERPIE'S AND WEEDLES! - You wouldn't think of them to be as valuable as they sound but they are. These three pokemon are the only pokemon in the game to only take 12 candies to evolve. And whether you evolve a a Dragonair to a Dragonite (100 candies) or a Pidgy to a Pidgeotto (12 candies), you earn 500xp for doing so. So if you think about efficiency, it is worth saving as many Pidgys as you can (especially since they are so easy to come by) and evolving those. Don't just evolve them as you get them, but SAVE them up. The reason you will want to do this is because you can use a Lucky Egg (doubles your XP for half an hour) and just go to down, evolving all the Pidgys, Weedles and Caterpies you can!

Side Note: One way to power level evolve is by fully closing your Pokemon Go app when you hit the evolve button, then opening the app right away to go back in and hit your next evolve. This still gives you your XP and you can save 15-20 seconds by doing it this way. Apparently some players say it's against ToS but many friends of mine (myself including) have evolved this way.

-
USE LUCKY EGGS! - Lucky Eggs can be purchased from the store (you also earn some from leveling so if you saved those then you don't have to spend). What they do is double the amount of XP you earn.

-
GET BETTER THROWS! - You earn more xp depending on how well you throw your pokeballs. Throwing a pokeball normall can score you 100XP (capturing bonus), but adding a curved throw (10xp), catching the pokemon on the first throw (50xp), getting an excellent hit (100xp) on top of all this can more than double your XP earned. So practice your throws on those Pidgys from earlier!

-
HATCH EGGS! - Always keep eggs incubated. Not only do you earn lots of candy and stardust but you get a hefty amount of XP too. Hatching a 5km egg nets you 500xp and a 10km egg can get you 1000xp! Use a Lucky Egg before you know it's going to hatch and that's 2000xp in one hatch!

-
FIND A POKESTOP PATH - There are many places (especially near urban/city areas) that have tons of Pokestops. If you are able to pop a Lucky Egg and spin all the stops you can net yourself 100xp every spin. That's the same XP as catching a pokemon!

-
THINK ABOUT INVESTING IN A GO PLUS (official) or GO-TCHA (unofficial) - You can order this off the official site or Amazon.com. What the Go-tcha device does (one might call it almost botting or cheating but it's definitely not). It works the same as the official Pokemon Go Plus except it automatically catches the pokemon for you so you don't have to press the button. It also automatically spins Pokestops for you too which is a HUGE plus. The speed of catching pokemon is so fast this way or with the Go Plus so as you can imagine this is the fastest way to level (especially with a Lucky Egg active).

PROS: Easily catches pokemon and spins stops without you having to look at your phone. ALSO (not many people know this) but it seems to bypass the speed cap limit which stops you from viewing nearby pokemon. I have personally driven on the highway at 50-60MPH and was able to see pokemon near me.

CONS: It misses. A lot. You will often see pokemon running away because what the device does is throw ONE pokeball only. If it breaks out, it runs away. So be sure to quickly disable it if you're making your way to an important Pokemon. You are more likely to catch it on your own.
The other downside is that it ONLY uses regular Pokeballs. The Go-tcha does not use Great or Ultra balls to catch pokemon. I think this is the same for the Pokemon Go Plus device as well.

***Overall, the device is great when you are driving or not able to play but still need to farm startdust, candies. Not good to use when you're going after a good Pokemon as there is a high chance you will miss it. I wouldn't recommend using it except for when you know you cannot be looking at the game (driving).

THE ADVANTAGES TO LEVELING
Of course, other than being able to power up your pokemon to higher levels, there are other advantages to leveling in Pokemon Go.

-
Pokemon with higher CP's can be found in the wild.

-
At level 20 you can now earn Ultra Balls, level 25 you can earn Max Potions and level 30 you can start earning Max Revives.

-
With recent updates, everyone after level 30 will receive the same IV and moveset pokemon for the same pokemon caught. For example, if you are level 30 and catch a wild Dragonite with 100% IV, your one friend that is level 30+ will get the same 100% IV Dragonite if he catches that same one. Your other friend who is under level 30 will get a random IV and moveset instead.

-
The base CP of wild Pokemon are much higher after level 30 (not confirmed).

POWER LEVELING GUIDES

In this video I go over how to quickly level up and gain XP the fastest way possible. I went from 3/4ths into level 13 to almost level 15! Remember, the higher level you are...the higher level the Pokemon will be when you find them :)
