Camp Life

Good Morning Saint Xenia Camp!

Camp life is unique.

You’ll feel it from the moment you wake up with the crisp morning air to the last cricket chirp before you drift into sleep. Let’s take a deeper look into a typical day at Saint Xenia Camp...

Campers, counselors, staff and clergy gather every morning in the dining hall to enjoy a full breakfast spread with many options, courtesy of our hard-working volunteer kitchen crew!

A picnic lunch is usually prepared at breakfast and includes delicious options like wraps, subs, fruit, and always a cookie.

Finally, our team of volunteer chefs have a restaurant-quality hot meal, salad bar, and desert waiting for us every night. Prepare to be amazed at the gourmet selection of fasting meals when you dine at Saint Xenia Camp!

The cabins at camp become home to our campers and counselors. The cabin family spends cabin time relaxing, praying together, caring for their home, and most importantly bonding with their new friends!

What would a camp be without the warmth and community of the campfire? Every night, campers and counselors unwind by one of our three fire pits. Whether you’re eating smores or stargazing, there’s nothing better than to end your day in the exceptional company and comfort of your new Orthodox family.

Activities range from edifying talks with clergy to outrageously silly games on the field! Our team of activity planners ensure that campers of every age group access

all that camp has to offer.

Some classic camp activities include canoeing, pickle-ball, swimming, off-site hikes, arts & crafts, and sponge-dodge! This year, we will also have new activities including zip-lining, ropes courses, rock wall climbing, and more!

Spiritual edification is essential to the Saint Xenia Camp experience. During camp week, we gather as a whole in the dining hall to say morning prayers, as well as in the chapel to celebrate services of Great Vespers, Matins, Divine Liturgy, Paraklesis to the Theotokos, and the Canon to Saint Xenia. All members of the camp are welcomed to participate through chanting, making confession, and receiving Holy Communion with their spiritual fathers’ blessings.
